These splendid scam emails should have become a book and made me some money, but that they stay in the same ethereal form in which they were created seems meet and proper.
I have refrained from editing the original emails, other than making them readable through formatting, so any misspellings and grammatical errors are by the writers.
If they're in here more than once, it's because they sent them to me more than once, as if I wouldn't notice.
How anyone is ever taken in by these proposals escapes me, but people respond (and lose their shirts) every day. (There is a real Hang Seng Bank in Hong Kong and a real Standard Bank of South Africa, but none of these guys are the real people working there.)
If you choose to respond to any of these emails, you are an idiot and deserve whatever happens to you.
